Hi bloggers, well it is finally nice to see a little sunshine in Crawley today, after several days of humid misty rain (not good for the hair!). Anyway I thought I would give you all an update on the 'Dress Up your Lampshade' workshop and with 6 spaces booked we only have 4 spaces left, so if you need a little extra inspiration before you take the plunge and take up a space, then take a look at a lampshade mum has decorated.
This one is only a small lampshade, which has a more modern cone shape to it. This one was so simple to make I think it took mum about 1 hour. Using the same piece of fabric mum wrapped the material around the lampshade and then added some lace and a brooch. But you could take this so much further with extra trims and flowers.
I think the lamp base makes it look so cute and was an absolute bargain when we found these in Cornwall. These can be purchased from us on the day if anyone needs one for £3, however we only have two of them, so no fighting. Anyone who is coming to the workshop, I hope those ideas are rolling out thick and fast because we can't wait to see what you will come up with!
If we have time before the workshop, we will be sharing with you one more style of lampshade you could produce which will definitely take up a lot more time but looks like an absolute masterpiece, well thats if it goes to plan. Better get to work then.....
