Vintage Road Trip

Hi bloggers, I hope everyone has some good plans for the weekend, especially anyone in the South of England as it is going to be a scorcher. I just hope this sunny weather continues for next weekend for our Vintage Road Trip! Me, mum and our crafting buddy Julie are off to the South West to explore Bristol, Bath and Shepton Mallet for a weekend of vintage treasure hunting. On Saturday we are going to be attending the Vintage Jumble Sale at Rangeworthy which we hope will be filled to the brim with mountains of fabric, lace and all kinds of trimmings at bargain prices. For anyone interested, the details are as follows:

10.30am - 2.00pm

Some of your favourite Vintage & Handmade Fair dealers will be having
a clear out & offering vintage goodies at bargain prices.
China, glass, textiles, toys, books, ephemera & much more....something
for everyone.
Last year's events were great fun with bargains galore, so come along
& relive the days of the good old village jumble sale!

Free admission.

Teas & homemade cakes will be served by the Rangeworthy WI in aid of charity.   

On the Sunday we will be attending the Giant Flea Market at Shepton Mallet and I think we are definitely going to need to shop sensibly so that we can all still fit in the car on the way home. If your in the area and want to attend, the details are as follows:

The fair has over 200 stands inside and many more outside with everything for sale from toys, cd's, cards, sweets, clothes, books, antiques, jewellery, militaria, ornaments, furniture records and so much more.

There is a licensed restaurant which serves lunch and a burger van and pasty van which serves the probably the best pasties in the South West.

Opening Times: 9.30am to 4.00pm

Entry: £3.50 per adult, accompanied children free

Location: The Royal Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset

Whilst in the area we will be on the look out for any vintage shops or junk shops to have a good rummage through so if you know any good ones, please let me know.
