Hi bloggers, today has been another amazing workshop day. It doesn't matter how many times I host this workshop, I never get bored of it and each time everyone creates something completely amazing and unique to them.
I have a few photos to share from the day, however photos of the finish pieces are a bit lacking because many finished early and left before I could get the camera out!
The first step for everyone is to glue the pre-cut papers inside the boxes and tissue tape around all the edges to keep the boxes in place.
The best part of the workshop is the embellishments that go inside the box. Pictured above are grungeboard letters which can be created by:
a) Painting grungeboard letters and blocks pieces in black - cover the whole letter and block.
b) Once the paint had dried, use sandpaper to rub away some of the black paint from the letter.
c) Apply some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to add that rustic/distress look to your letters.
Starting to look good!
Most of the boxes were finished off with some extras which included decorative feet, corners and a curio knob to go on top of the box.
There were some fabulous results with the Configuration box and I think the star box of the day was Oceaniana's Christmas box - at only 16 she is definitely a crafting star in the making!
Only 2 weeks until our big Christmas Craft Day with a fantastic project and sweets and treats throughout, can't wait. Our Christmas workshop has sold out but if you want to put your name on the reserve list please contact us.
Now that Bonfire Night has passed its time to get all Christmassy - happy crafting!
