The past weekend featured our last workshop of the year, Countdown to Christmas and I think it has definitely got everyone in the Christmas spirit ready to count down the final days until this festive celebration. It was our biggest workshop to date with 14 people in total attending the class, so maneuverability was a little difficult at times but I think everyone made the most of it and enjoyed the tips and techniques they learnt that day.
As always we love to set up the tables in the most appealing of ways to delight our crafters as soon as they step in the room. The cute house boxes (from Hobbycraft - £4 for 4) really add that finishing touch and make an excellent storage for all those finished magnets.
We tried to create a step by step guide for the day, starting with painting the baking tray which will form the basis of the advent calendar and then starting to work on each magnet. We even provided a guide for each magnet on a noticeboard to break down how to make them.
Never will a Vintage Follie craft day go by without tea and cake!
Getting to the end definitely took some time and patience......
But it was worth it as all the finished advent calendars looked amazing and still everyone managed to create something different and unique to them. We love to see how people put their own creativity into the project and even with the same assortment of items can add their own touch.

These pictures only cover half of the crafters that came on Saturday and everyone really did do a good job and we can't wait to see what you will all come up with next year at our next Vintage Follie workshop.
