Hi bloggers, yesterday was another sunny day here in the South East and again we were off finding vintage treasures. This time at a place called Miss Mabel's Magnificent Emporium at Victoria Business Park in Burgess Hill. Being on an industrial estate, we weren't quite sure what to expect but as soon as you walk through the door you are presented with a large open space, inticing you in with all its vintage glory. The emporium is made up from approximately 50 sellers, with everything arranged with such flair and character. The large number of sellers should definitely indicate to you all that this place is well worth a visit. They are currently on Facebook and you will be able to find out more details on how to find them and whats going on. I would also time it that you arrive just before lunch and treat yourself to a yummy toastie and cake at the Fork to Feast vintage tea shop inside. Below are a few photos from their facebook site to give you an idea of what you can expect.
All this crafting and vintage inspiration got me feeling creative so by the time we got home I was itching to get in that craft room and about 30 minutes later plus some added time for a quick trip to B&Q for some wire, I made this little beauty:
A vintage photo spool
So simple to create, just grab an old cotton spool, add some washi tape and lace and then make sure you have some stiff wire to spiral into shape and ta-da, you are done. Simples! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will share some more creations soon.
Wow I just found this on the internet (only a year late) Thank you, and do you know we have moved up the road and are now nearly twice the size. Pop in and say hi :)
