Well its that time of year again, CHA Winter is due to start in a few days and I have been checking out some of the new products that are going to be on offer. This is my favourite CHA show as the designers put together their best designs to start us crafters off for the next year.
First up today is Tim Holtz and once again he has out done himself with some fabulous embellishments, papers and stamps. Here are my Top 10 products from his range:
1. French Revolution Paper Collection
This is a key theme throughout Tim's range this year and these papers are the perfect start to a Paris themed scrapbook project or asa backdrop to a configuration box.
2. Configurations Box with Cover
These new configuration boxes are fab, they are half the size of Tim's original configuration tray and come with an attached cover so you can keep it closed like a book on a shelf and then open it for display.
3. Worn Cover and Cabinet card frames
Both of these new releases are so vintage, I absolutely love them. You can add one of Tim's ring binders to the inside of this book to add some pages to create your own book and these card frames are excellent for framing your photos whilst maintaining the vintage look. I feel a project coming on with these new beauties.
4. Assemblage Clock
This new assemblage clock is complentary to the pocket watch that has been previosuly released. A glimspe of a project Tim has created with this clock looks amazing and has given me a few ideas.
5. Locket Book
The locket book at the top of this picture looks so exciting and I can't wait to get my hands on this, though by the sounds of it it will get lost in my hands due to its tiny size. This will create the smallest of scrapbook projects, protecting the smallest of images.
6. Paris Texture Fades
The Paris theme is continued into the texture fades and alterations lines and these embossing folders look so vintage and perfect as a backdrop to a small Paris themed scrapbook.
7. Picture Wheel Sizzix Alteration
This sizzix die is reminiscent of my workshop with Tim a few years ago. We went to a configuration box workshop with Tim Holtz who gave us lots of goodies to put inside it and one of those was an old picture wheel which if I remember rightly had Ninja turtles on it! Anyway this die allows you to create your own picture wheels and I can't wait to see what projects Tim has created with this die cut.
8. Sewing Blueprint Stamps
I haven't really taken to Tim's range of sketch stamps however these sewing stamps really did stand out to me and would be great as a background for a sewing themed mini book with these stamped lightly behind photos and text.
9. Tiny Things Stamps
These mini stamps are great if you have quite been taken by some of Tim's larger stamps and maybe the budget can't be stretched as far to buy them all so this stamp collection includes most in a minature form. However these images have a classic and nostalgic feel about them.
10. Simple Sayings Stamps
I'm going to finish off with these set of stamps with simple sayings. I always find it difficult to find the stamp I need to include a saying on a card or as a sentiment on a scrapbook page, so I think I will definitely be buying these stamps as a necessity item and add them to my wish list on Tim's app.
If you haven't already you should check out Tim's blog for all his latest releases and download his app for iphone and ipad to view updates from CHA and add products to your own wish list.
I will be back soon with some of my other favourite CHA releases, inclduing Jenny Bowlin and Kaisercraft.
